Romeo Gigli A/W 1987 Dark Grey Wool Skirt Suit

Magnificent fitted skirt suit as documented on the A/W 1987 runway. Stretch wool which flatteringly hugs the body. Jacket sits over hips and has a tulip shaped hemline and small standup collar. Fitted extra long sleeve that has a notch at back on wrist. Jacket has four buttons down front, jetted pockets each side on exterior and one internal pocket. Jacket is fully lined. 

Skirt is just under knee length and sits high waist, it is unlined with a small box pleat at centre back hem. Stretch component of the fabric allows for a fitted look yet ease of wear.

An elegant and rare piece from one of Romeo Gigli's earliest collections.

Fabric composition 29% wool, 28%polyester 23%lycra 20%polyamide nylon.

Size  Skirt is marked size 40IT jacket without size label I believe it to be a 42IT - refer to measureents

Condition Very good.

Exterior is in excellent condition. Jacket lining has been replaced professionally to match original. Lining of skirt waistband has some minor discoloration.
