PX London Velvet Hot Pant with Bead detail

Circa 1980s

Red cotton velvet, black beads with black binding. Centre back zip.

PX was started by Helen Robinson and Steph Raynor ( previously of Acme Attractions and BOY) starting as the flagship for New Romantic ready-to-wear in James Street, Covent Garden.  In 1980, it moved a few yards round the corner to bigger premises in Endell Street Convent Garden. Staffed by Princess Julia ( Julia Fodor) and Steve Strange it was a regular haunt of the Blitz kids. The milliner Stephen Jones got his start opening his first store in the basement of PX.
