PX was an influential boutique opened by Helen Robinson and Steph Raynor (previously of Acme Attractions and BOY) in 1978 in Covent Garden. The clothes were worn and promoted by Steve Strange and the shop became a focal point for the New Romantics. In 1980, it moved a few yards round the corner to bigger premises in Endell Street Convent Garden. Staffed by Princess Julia ( Julia Fodor) it was a regular haunt of the Blitz kids. The milliner Stephen Jones got his start opening his first store in the basement of PX.
