Olivier Guillemin's work has always been part of a quest for innovation, through materials, colours and shapes since his fashion studies at Studio Berçot. First assistant to Thierry Mugler and Azzedine Alaïa, he decided to create his own label in 1986. The winner of ANDAM in 1989, he presented fun and futuristic fashion with spectacular runway shows in unusual atmospheric settings. At the same time, he was a creative consultant to large textile groups and trade fairs, and was artistic director of ready-to-wear and licensing for Paco Rabanne (1991-93). Joyce Gallery celebrated his career with a retrospective exhibition of his fantastic pieces in 2017.
