Koji Tatsuno A/W 1992 Dark Red Iridescent Origami Pleated Skirt

Dark red textile with a black sheen in an unusual origami pleat, covered buttons through front, belted waist with buckle, fully lined. As documented on Koji Tatsuno’s A/W 1992 runway.

In 1990, Tatsuno gained recognition for his unconventional and complex creations when he launched his first line of clothing with a runway presentation in Paris. He continued this label for the following twelve years. Tatsuno referred to his studio as being like a “fashion laboratory” during the 1990s, as emerging creative talents such as Julien Macdonald and Alexander McQueen would intern and hang out there.

Koji Tatsuno pieces are rare to come across.
