Circa late 1980's.

Joseph Ettedgui began his caareer as a hairdresser, his hair salon's eventually morphing into conceptual spaces – more magazine than shops, places to discover new ideas and Ettedgui’s curation of radical designers, including Azzedine Alaïa and Yohji Yamamoto. Joseph also supported young designers such as John Flett and John Galliano.

Ettedgui launched his knitwear label, JOSEPH TRICOT in the 1980's.
