Complice is part of the Genny group and got its name from a magazine article which stated - "between Genny and the designer there is complicity".

Gianni Versace and Claude Montana designed for Complice during the early years with Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana designing from A/W 1991 until 1995. Echoes of their namesake label Dolce & Gabbana can be seen in Complice collections during this period especially their 1991 debut.
