Intentionally misshapen panelling across bodice creating a unusual pulled asymmetric effect. Can be pulled across shoulders and pulls up on one side of bust draping down, twisting side seams. Can be pulled to be worn in different ways. 

Spurring controversy in the fashion press and consumer public, and inspiration among design peers, the bulbous gingham dresses of Rei Kawakubo's 1997 women's line literally challenged the form of fashion.

Fabric composition - label is faded, it is a light wool with some stretch/ elastane component.
