Yoshiki Hishinuma Black Crimp Pleated Dress

From Hisinuma's mainline collection, this dress features a high collar and fitted upper body that opens out to an A-line skirt. Upper body is crimp pleated with unusual circular designs, the crimp pleating dissipates around the waist leaving only the circular crimp design on the lower body. Collar fans out framing the face and can be drawn in with a crimped tie. An unusual and original dress by a very special designer.

Yoshiki Hishinuma spent many years as part of Issey Miyake's design team. When starting is own label Hishinuma was unable to procure textiles that were to his liking, he began experimenting with natural and chemical processes to alter the finish and form of synthetic fabrics. He is known for his highly inventive work that often has organic themes.
